Privacy Policy & Legal Disclosures
Last Updated: June 10, 2026
1. Legal Entity & Advisory Role
Alta Business Loans is a registered doing-business-as (DBA) name of ShelfRank Services LLC. We are a financial matchmaking, referral, and consulting service—we are not a direct lender. All loan approvals, financial terms, percentages, and interest rates are determined solely by the individual third-party underwriting criteria of our partnered lending network. ShelfRank Services LLC does not guarantee financing approval or specific credit terms. Past client history or marketing case studies do not guarantee future financing outcomes.
2. Information We Collect
To successfully connect your small business with qualified funding options across our nationwide lender network, we collect personal and commercial operational data through our digital forms. This includes:
- Contact Details: Your full name, company business name, corporate email address, and direct phone number.
- Financial Parameters: Your desired loan or capital amounts, your estimated timeframe for receiving funding, and the general structure of financing solutions you are targeting.
We explicitly do not collect your Social Security Number (SSN), Employer Identification Number (EIN), or private online banking credentials during our preliminary evaluation phase.
3. How We Use and Share Data
Your privacy is central to our reputation. We utilize your data solely to process pre-qualification requests and pair your brand profile with verified lending institutions. When you submit our evaluation form, you provide express consent for ShelfRank Services LLC to share your information strictly with our vetted, reputable funding partners to generate offers. We do not sell, lease, or distribute your operational data to third-party marketing brokers or unrelated promotional lists.
4. Soft Credit Inquiry Protection
Pre-qualification assessments conducted directly through Alta Business Loans utilize a soft credit inquiry. This administrative check will not lower or impact your personal credit score. Full credit reporting pulls (hard pulls) are only executed at later stages by final lending entities upon your direct acknowledgement and formalized onboarding progression.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of follow-up communications at any time by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under privacy laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we process and to request its deletion. We will honor valid requests as required by law.
6. Data Security and Retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. We retain it only as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations.
7. Cookies
Our website may use limited cookies or similar technologies to operate the site and understand general usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for business owners and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
